Little (Eco!) Travel Luxuries
Whew! Well my head is still in a bit of a fog from our whirlwind trip to Marrakech and Paris, so I'm going to stick to a post about something tried and true: in-flight "essentials." I've got the quotes there; these add-ons certainly aren't necessities, but after years of international and domestic travel, I don't think I could live without them anymore. I keep the first 2 in a little bag with my suitcase, so I can just add the rest the night before the flight.
1. Eye-mask
2. Earplugs
3. Moisturizer
4. Lip balm
5. Socks
6. Warm shawl
The other addition to this trip were these fantastic organic, antibacterial, biodegradable wipes in amazing flavors. Peppermint was ideal after a hot day in the souks, Grapefruit felt just right wiping up before a snack, and Lavender really helped relax us when foreign airports got to be a bit much. Since they were expensive and a bit wasteful (even when M and I shared one, tossing those packages everywhere seeemed so spoiled-American!) I'm hestitant to make them an essential... but oh wow, were we happy to have them!

p.s. Disclaimer: except for those Giovanni Towelettes, none of those linked suggestions are what's in my kit. I've had a lot of the stuff I travel with for so long, I'm not sure where I picked it up anymore.
