Green shopping for April

Ready to whip out the credit cards? Here's a round up of new (well, new to me, anyway) eco friendly boutique that you absolutely must check out.

Organic Style: These folks have been on my radar for a while, with a great selection of ridiculously inexpensive basics. They're selection has just exploded recently, with tons on sale, and I couldn't resist posting. Highlights include a sweet ruffled organic nightie $73, a fantastically retro organic "Follow the Bees" tee $49, and the simplest organic black wrap dress $50.

Olio United: Wow, is this shop making it hard for me to stick to a budget! With a selection of all my favorite eco designers plus a ton of indie labels, it's hard to get enough. Highlights include updated basic rescued fabric Pleated Scoop Tee by Deanna Bratt $65, dramatic bamboo content Warm Night Dress by Filly $185 (selling out fast!), and comfy organic Mid-winter Hoodie by Earth & Sky $160 (from $230.)

Fashion Ethic:This little eco boutique still says they're not launching till Spring 2008, but the great selection already up for grabs begs to differ. Highlights include modernist Bamboo Dress by Ryann $268, adorable bamboo and organic Piped Tunic by Sustainable Collective $94, and luxurious fair trade Featherweight Cashmere Hoodie by Peligrosa $268.

Last but not even remotely least, I have to mention fantastic eco living blog 1plus1, a new addiction of mine for their slick layout and cute finds. Check it out, and if it pushes your buttons, make sure you scroll allllll the way to the bottom to add 1plus1 to your daily feed reader.

Hey thanks for the great blog, I love this stuff. I don’t usually do much for Earth Day but with everyone going green these days, I thought I’d try to do my part.

I am trying to find easy, simple things I can do to help stop global warming (I don’t plan on buying a hybrid). Has anyone seen that www.EarthLab.com is promoting their Earth Day (month) challenge, with the goal to get 1 million people to take their carbon footprint test in April? I took the test, it was easy and only took me about 2 minutes and I am planning on lowering my score with some of their tips.

I am looking for more easy fun stuff to do. If you know of any other sites worth my time let me know.
